Bilyana Anicic is the President and Principal Consultant at Aurora Consulting. She provides consulting services in the fields of Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, Information Management (IM), Business Intelligence (BI) and Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).
Bilyana has been delivering solutions in line with clients' business needs for over 20 years. She applies innovative architecture solutions, interoperability standards and enterprise architecture best practices while working with clients to identify issues that they may not recognize, and recommending architectural solutions that are appropriate for mitigating those issues. She is passionate about building clients' success through excellent service delivery and dedication to go "above and beyond" on clients' behalf.
Bilyana is fully "bilingual" - able to communicate in terms that both IT and non-IT stakeholders can understand.
In her current role, she works as the Enterprise Architect at the Government of Canada's Privy Council Office on the e-Cabinet initiative, while also serving on the Board of Directors of The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI). She is a member of the Association of Enterprise Architects (AEA) and DAMA (Data Management International).
Recently, Bilyana played a key role as the Enterprise Architect on the Federal Geospatial Platform (FGP) initiative for over two years, from August 2013- March 2016.
Bilyana is also passionate about geomatics and leveraging location as the interoperability “glue" for Big Data and the Internet of Things (IoT). She applied her passion about geospatial data on a number of initiatives in different industry verticals, including environmental, health, mining, utilities, oil and gas and transportation, as well as for the federal, state and local governments.
